Bill Rube:
I have been involved with
horses and horse shows since I was a child. My passion for the sport is very
intense, and is clearly visible to those who know me. I started out riding
ponies at a local barn, and became serious as an amateur in the middle 70's with
Jack Trainor at Here and There Farm located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
In 1983, I took a break from horses, but returned to the show scene in the
early 90's starting in the Adult Amateur hunters and jumpers, and finally
the Amateur Owner hunters. My horses, Sunset Boulevard, Mystery Date,
Share the Road, All About Me, More About Me,
Zarrbuck, Gold Tycoon, West Hampton, and Belcort have all been consistent ribbon winners up and down the East coast.
I
consider myself very fortunate to have ridden with, and befriended, some of the
"best in the business." I keep the horses I am personally
showing with Phoebe DeMott
at Cedar Ridge
Farm in Worcester, Pennsylvania, and
and the youngsters showing "on the line" with Sharon
Keifer's Hidden Fox
Farm in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. My horses getting ready for me and the
show ring are helped along by Jason Berry at Jason Berry Stables in
Virginia, and Sue Marshall's Sue Mar Warmbloods in Bangor, PA. It's
best they are not around me during their formative years

Most recently, I have begun purchasing weanlings, yearlings, and a 2 year old to
raise and show on the line. I credit Cindi Deibert for fostering my
addiction to the "babies," when I purchased Zarrbuck, a handsome buckskin then
yearling colt, from her in the fall of 2005. My youngsters have placed at major breeding shows including Devon. I realize that "this
is where it all begins, and so many of us tend to forget that someone,
somewhere, bred and raised the superstars of yesterday and today."I would like to see more
people involved at the breeding level. I believe that owning, raising and
showing the young ones, is a great way to promote breeding in the United
States.

Joe Miraglia:
When I first met Bill I knew absolutely nothing about
horses, however during the 18 years we have been together I have learned the
old adage "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" works well for us.
Horses are Bill's passion (along with Nordstrom's) and through him,
I have developed a knowledge of the sport and the industry in general.
I now have a definite interest in the horses, and I might even catch a
missed lead change now and then. I am much more in tune with the horse
show tack room set ups, coupled with the colors and trims on horse blankets
and tack room drapes, since it directly relates to my business and passion
of interior design.

I have owned and operated DSGNTEC, an interior design firm,
for the last 25 years. I love animals, and although I do not ride or show
horses, I love to help out and most of all attend horse shows. I like to
keep my distance at the shows, and those of you who know Bill understand
why... plus inevitably it winds up costing me money one way or the
other. It's so nice to hear "I hope you have a check with you"... what
ever happened to Hello?
